This was some of the girls first games and they did really well. Birthday girl Katie Gildea got a hattrick in an enjoyable morning session.

The girls travelled to Raphoe this morning to play against Raphoe & Mulroy Academy. Conditions were just about perfect for the games and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Orlaith now selected for the U15 Schools International team for the Bob Doherty Tournament in Newcastle England over the Easter break.

Notable win for Lagan Harps as they inflict a first league defeat on Letterkenny Rovers in the only game today in Sunday League Two.

 

Lagan won 1-0 courtesy of a 78th minute Kieran Cunningham goal and with games in hand reinvigorates a push for a playoff spot at worst.

 

Rovers four points clear of second placed Letterbarrow Celtic with three games left each while the top two also have to play each other.

Orlaith Doherty has been invited to attend a Republic of Ireland Under women’s Under 16 match, taking place in Belfast on the 5th of December.

 

Orlaith previously played against Northern Ireland in October and scored in the first half.

 

She missed out in the squad that headed to Wales in November due to the FAI Schools Interprovincial Tournament where is represented Ulster Schools

 

With events clashing this weekend Orlaith will miss the Gaynor Plate Semi Final with Donegal against Limerick County
